For the safety of your canine, a 30-minute supervised Orientation Session is required for all new clients. Swimming is a form of exercise that differs significantly from land exercise. Water is 15 times more viscous than air thus requiring more effort to move through it. Swimming also works certain muscle groups more than land exercise. Thus, like most fitness activities, your pet needs to build up their stamina for longer swim sessions.
The Orientation Session serves to evaluate your dog’s swimming ability, fitness level and canine behavior in order to determine the best session for your pet’s health and enjoyment. Instructions on how to enter and exit the pool, when to utilize swimming rest intervals, as well as use of the drying station will also be demonstrated.
